Role Playing Activity in an environment:
Aim is to allow children to explore a space and discover it's properties and attributes.
The game could be based on story telling and role playing.
Use of optical illusions to change the appearance of the space and playing with perception.
Practical Therapeutic Potential:
The children practice moving and navigating while engaged in a stimulating game.
Details:
the game could include the following elements
- standing in a specific spot to be able to see something, for example an optical illusion.
- giving the sensation of being in a different space, bigger, smaller, distorted.
- following a story that unfolds as the child explores the space.
- giving the child the ability to build his own story from elements that the environment provides.
- an environment that changes according to a certain theme/story
